If you love music and hearing the stories behind song lyrics, you have to experience the Key West Songwriters Festival. It's the largest festival of its kind in the entire world and it is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. This year they are celebrating their 21st year with over 200 performers and over 50 shows during the 5 day event May 4-8th. Most of the shows are free of charge and take place in some of the best spots around Key West. These are intimate shows with some of the coolest song writers on the planet...you never know what artists may make a surprise appearance.
The list of performers for this year includes headliners RCA Nashville recording artist Jake Owen, Robert Earl Keen, Rhett Akins Band, Bob DiPiero, Natalie Hemby, Al Anderson, Shawn Camp, Lori McKenna, Liz Rose, Wendell Mobley, Heather Morgan, James Slater, Even Stevens, Guthrie Trapp and the Mulekickers, Chuck Cannon, Bruce Wallace, Phil Barton, Randy Montana, Josh Dorr, Marti Fredriksen, Danny Myrick, Paul Jenkins, Jabe Beyer, Rick Farrell, Love & Theft and Maggie Rose, with many more to come. The entire event is hosted by Sirius XM host Storme Warren, who will broadcast his morning show live from the Smokin’ Tuna Saloon.
