Palm Coast, FL artist Paul Baliker challenges his viewers with his towering sculptures depicting the entangled interdependent relationship between human and animal.
He finds his inspiration in Florida's abundance of wildlife and natural wonders and he is known for large pieces made from bronze, wood or a combination of both.
With a studio and gallery just south of St. Augustine and hidden among the natural hardwood hammock on A1A, Paul's most dynamic pieces are sculptures and furniture made from cedar driftwood. He takes the found wood and liberates the images of tarpons, herons or other Florida wildlife that are hidden within them.
His passion for nature is what inspires him to attempt to capture a moment in each sculpture that expresses our potential for a symbiotic relationship with the earth and the creatures within it.
His sculptures can be seen in numerous public and corporate collections across the United States.
